Christian Capozzoli was born in Rochester, NY to Rita and Louis Capozzoli. He is of Italian, German and Polish descent. As a child he loved storytelling and film but his academic path led to a B.F.A. in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College and a Masters in Literature and Education from Harvard University. He did not pursue film or theatre until his late 20s when he discovered improv. A decade later his improvisation methods are now taught the world over. Capozzoli has worked along side of legendary comedic instructors Mick Napier, Charna Halpern and Armando Diaz. He has had the fortune to work with top comedic voices in TV and Film, including Stephen Colbert, Lena Dunham, Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler.
